100% Tempranillo

Tempranillo is the Iberian grape variety that swims upstream at the Booker estate — the lone  “wild child” among our family of Rhône varieties. It is planted on a small block at the front of the vineyard and has become a beloved favorite over the years. The 2022 Tempranillo EXT was aged for 22 months in 50 percent new 320-liter French oak cigars. The palate is deeply layered with tar, black fruits and a subtle sea breeze salinity, creating a wine that is at one rustic and refined.

PAIRING: Indulge in a Duck Confit, a symphony of tender duck leg slow-cooked to perfection, served atop a bed of creamy polenta, and drizzled with a rich red wine reduction.
